On Oct. 3rd the CYC will have sign ups for the following events from 6-7 at the Town Hall:

The CYC will have a campsite reserved for our group!!

Adult cost is $15.95 and can purchase their ticket upon arrival at the farm.

Public Hearing: Nearing Road

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Planning Board of the Town of Cochecton, Sullivan County, New York will hold a Public Hearing at the Town Hall, 74 Smales Road, Lake Huntington, Sullivan County, New York on the 31 day of August at 7:30 p.m. for the purpose of considering the application of a minor sub-division on Nearing Road. SBL.9-3-12.1 by Sean and Beret Nearing.

The public is invited to attend and public comment will be welcomed.

Excluding VIP and Persons with Disabilities (with Plate/Placard/Tag and an assistance device such as wheelchair or walker), all parking will be off site at the Northeast Fairgrounds located just off Route 315, Suscon Road, 1 mile from Interstate 81 and Interstate 476, Pittston Township, Pennsylvania.

We suggest you bring a folding chair. There will be great viewing locations throughout the Air Show grounds. There will be very limited seating provided at the Air Show. NO COOLERS! There will be plenty of food and drink on site.

10:00 AM Gates open.

10:00 AM Static displays, kids zone and exhibits will open.

11:30 AM (approximately) The parachute jump with the American flag and the National Anthem.

Performers will start immediately after that and continue until about 4:00 PM. We suggest arriving in plenty of time before the performances are scheduled to begin.

 

There is no seating included with your General Admission ticket and guests are invited to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. However, no tents, sun umbrellas, or canopies are allowed.

The following items are not allowed: Roller blades or skates/Skateboards, Sun umbrellas, Coolers, Alcohol/Narcotics and paraphernalia, Cans/Glass containers, Pets, Weapons

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Cochecton, Sullivan County, NY will receive sealed bids for supplying the Town with No. 2 fuel oil, diesel fuel and regular gasoline, from August 1, 2017 through July 31, 2018 delivered on 48 hours notice. Please use Journal of Commerce for the day of July 5, 2017 for bids.

Bids will be accepted at the Office of the Town Clerk during regular business hours Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:00am – 3:00pm at 74 Smales Road, Lake Huntington, NY 12752; until 3:00pm on July 11,2017, or they may be sent to P.O Box 295, Lake Huntington, NY 12752 and they will be publicly opened and read aloud at 7:30pm on July 12, 2017 at the regular Town Board Meeting.

Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to Hollye Schulman, Town Clerk, Town of Cochecton, PO Box 295, Lake Huntington, NY 12752 and must bear on the face thereof the name and address of the bidder.

No bid may be withdrawn within 30 days from the date of the bid opening.

The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder on July 12,2017. In the case two or more responsible bidders submit identical bids as to price the Town Board may award the contract to any such bidder.

The right is reserved to reject any and all bids.

Completion of Tentative Assessment Roll Pursant to Real Property Tax Law §506

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE ASSESSOR OF THE TOWN OF COCHECTON, County of Sullivan has completed the Tentative Assessment Roll for the current year, which will be filed on or before May 1, 2017. A copy will be available with the Town Clerk in the Town Hall, Cochecton, New York where it may be seen and examined by any interested person until the fourth Tuesday of May.

The assessor will be in attendance with the Tentative Assessment Roll at her office located at 74 Smales Road, Lake Huntington, New York during normal business hours and on; Wednesday, May 10th between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm and Saturday, May 20th between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm by appointment only.

Copies of the proposed local law can be viewed at the Town Clerk’s Office during regular business hours. All present with be heard for or against said proposed local law, written comments must be to the Town Clerk by noon on April 12, 2017.
