Animal Control

The dog control officer is responsible for enforcing dog control laws in the town. He or she will assist with dog complaints as well as seize stray dogs.

 

PLEASE NOTE: The dog control officer is ONLY responsible for DOGS. She is NOT responsible for any other animals. (cats, horses, bats, etc.)

Dog Licensing:

 

Upon adoption of Local Law #3 of 2010, the Town is now responsible for licensing dogs. Effective January 1, 2011, the new fees for a dog license are:

 

Spayed / Neutered Dogs: $10 per year. Proof of spaying or neutering is required.

Unspayed / Unneutered Dogs: $20 per year

 

Proof of rabies vaccination is required for all dog licenses. Licenses can be obtained by contacting:
