NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF TENTATIVE ASSESSMENT ROLL
PURSUANT TO REAL PROPERTY TAX LAW §506
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE ASSESSOR OF THE TOWN OF COCHECTON, County of Sullivan has completed the Tentative Assessment Roll for the current year, which will be filed on or before May 1, 2026. A copy will be available with the Town Clerk in the Town Hall 74 Smales Rd Lake Huntington NY, where, by appointment, may be seen and examined by any interested person until the fourth Tuesday of May. And will be available online at www.townofcochectonny.org and https://www.sullivanny.gov/Departments/RealProperty/AssessmentRolls
The assessor will be in attendance with the Tentative Assessment Roll on May 1st and May 15th 10:00-1:00 and on; Wednesday, May 20th between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm and Saturday, May 23rd between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm by appointment only.
THE BOARD OF ASSESSMENT REVIEW WILL MEET on Tuesday, May 26th, 2026, between the hours of 4:00-8:000 pm at the Cochecton Town Hall, in said town, to hear and examine all complaints in relation to assessments, on the written application by any person believing himself to be aggrieved. A publication containing procedures for contesting an assessment is available at the assessor’s office or online @ www.tax.ny.gov
