A MESSAGE FROM THE SUPERVISOR

Greetings to my fellow residents of Cochecton,

Our daily lives have certainly changed by the Covid-19 virus. We are all hoping to defeat this virus so we can get back to our normal lives.

Spring is here, starting April 1st to June 30th will be our Litter Pluck which is sponsored by the Sullivan County Legislature. We have free disposal coupons that are available at the Town Clerks office for any litter filled bag plucked from any roadside in Cochecton!

Also, Town Clean-up Days for Cochecton will return to our usual weekend before Memorial Day. You will be able to bring your household junk, bulky waste [furniture, mattresses, carpets, etc.; Iron pipes must be cut to 4-foot lengths; Drums and tanks must be empty and cut open or crushed.; Paint or tar cans must be empty or dry; NO full or partially full cans of paint, NO HAZARDOUS WASTES: petroleum products, pesticides, or propane tanks. NO COMPUTERS/MONITORS, TELEVISIONS sets [all display types]. No Fluorescent bulbs/lamps. The Town of Cochecton will be accepting 4 regular car or truck tires at no cost Additional cost will be $3.00 per tire after the 4th tire. No oversized tires are allowed. This program is made possible by the Sullivan County Legislature along with the Division of Public Works and Solid Waste and the Town of Cochecton.

Please explore our website for building permits, tax exemption forms, past minutes, or a look at our proposed budget.  There is also a calendar of upcoming events in town, particularly with our very active Youth Board.

We would appreciate your thoughts on how we are doing and any other services that we might be able to provide.  We would like to show you that Cochecton is a great place to live, canoe, camp, or just relax.
