TAX COLLECTION LEGAL NOTICE 2019
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that I, Eileen Hennessy the Tax Collector of the Town of Cochecton, County of Sullivan, and the State of New York, will collect the 2019 Town and County Taxes in the Town of Cochecton Town Hall 74 Smales Rd, Cochecton NY 12752. Taxes will be received in my office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 4pm to 7pm, and Saturdays and Sundays by chance or by appointment. If weather is bad call first, 845-932-8360 X 17.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the taxes may be paid without interest on or before January 31st, 2019.
AFTER JANUARY 31ST, THE FOLLOWING IS A GRADUATED INTEREST SCHEDULE;
January Par
February 1%
March 2% In addition, a $2 penalty will be added to your bill if they are not paid when the unpaid notices are sent on or before March 5, 2019 (State Law)
Installment payments may be paid as follows:
January – 50% due by 1/31/2019 at 0% interest. Send “Payment #1” stub with your check.
February – 25% due by 2/28/2019 at 1% interest on remaining account. Send “Payment #2 stub.
March – 25% due by 3/31/2019 at 2% interest + $2.00 unpaid notice fee.
Send entire bill.
If installment payments are not postmarked timely they will not be accepted. There is a $30.00 returned check fee.

Credit Cards are Visa, MasterCard and Discover. NO E-CHECKS. Credit Card Payments are being done different this year, you can no longer pay on taxlookup.net. You may obtain a duplicate tax bill/receipt or check the status of your payment via the Internet at www.taxlookup.net
If you have to change an address, call the assessor at 845/932-8360, ext. 12, or if you need any past tax information call the Sullivan County Treasurers office at 845/807-0200.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that pursuant to the provisions of the law, the tax roll of the Town of Cochecton will be returned to the County Treasurer of the County of Sullivan on the 4th day of April, 2019.
