TOWN OF COCHECTON, NEW YORK
PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM NOTICE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT ON May 24, 2023, the Town Board of the Town of
Cochecton, in the County of Sullivan, State of New York, adopted a resolution entitled:
“Resolution of the Town Board of the Town of Cochecton, New York, adopted May 24,
2023, authorizing the grant of a utility easement to New York State Electric & Gas
Corporation.”
An abstract of such resolution, concisely stating the purpose and effect thereof, being as follows:
FIRST: AUTHORIZING said Town to grant a utility easement to New York State
Electric & Gas Corporation on Mitchel Pond East Road (Town Road #37) from the point at
which the existing electric service ends on said road, to Town property currently operated by the
Sullivan County Department of Solid Waste & Recycling as a solid waste transfer station (Tax
Map No. 2.-1-72),
SECOND: DELEGATING to the Supervisor of the Town of Cochecton authority to
execute said grant of easement and all other documents pertinent thereto,
THIRD: DETERMINING that the resolution is subject to permissive referendum.
