Residential Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event!  
WHEN: SUNDAY, June 11, 2023 from 9:00 AM—3:00 PM
WHERE: Monticello Transfer Station Scale House at 91 Landfill Drive, Monticello, NY 12701
HOW: Bring carefully packaged ACCEPTABLE HHW materials with 2 forms of ID that show you
are a Sullivan County Resident and STAY in your car. NO PREREGISTRATION REQUIRED!
ACCEPTABLE: Latex & oil-based paints, Solvents, stale fuels, antifreeze, pool chemicals, acids, bases,
poisons, fluorescent bulbs, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, cleaning products,
mercury-containing devices, pesticides/herbicides, automotive batteries, roofing tar,
wood preservatives, adhesives, creosote, stains, inks.
UNACCEPTABLE: Radioactive materials, explosives, ammunition, electronics, garbage, bulk
liquids/drums/tanks larger than 5 gallons, LP/gas tanks, medical waste, tires,
pharmaceuticals, refrigeration devices, NO commercial, industrial or agricultural
waste
