NOTICE TO BIDDERS
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Cochecton, Sullivan
County, NY will receive sealed bids for supplying the Town with No. 2 fuel oil, diesel
fuel and regular gasoline, from August 15, 2024, through July 31, 2025, delivered on 48
hours notice. Please use Journal of Commerce for Day of August 2 nd , 2024, for bids.
Bids will be accepted at the Office of the Town Clerk during regular business hours
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:00am – 2:00pm at 74 Smales Road, Lake
Huntington, NY 12752; until 2:00pm on August 13 th , 2024, or they may be sent to P.O
Box 295, Lake Huntington, NY 12752 and they will be publicly opened and read aloud at
7:30pm on August 14 th , 2024 at the regular Town Board Meeting..
Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to , Town of Cochecton, Town
Clerk Fuel Bid, PO Box 295, Lake Huntington, NY 12752 and must bear on the face
thereof the name and address of the bidder.
No bid may be withdrawn within 30 days from the date of the bid opening.
The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder on August 14 th , 2024. In
the case two or more responsible bidders submit identical bids as to price the Town
Board may award the contract to any such bidder.
The right is reserved to reject any and all bids.
The attention of the bidders is particularly called to the non-collusive bid certification,
which must be provided, pursuant to Sec. 103-D of the General Municipal Law and that
section of Sec. 103-A of the General Municipal Law, is hereby considered to be part of
any contract to purchase which may be entered into.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Please take notice that the Town of Cocheccton’s Zoning Board of Appeals will conduct a Public Hearing on August 7th, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. at the Town Hall located at 74 Smales Road, Lake Huntington, New York 12752 to consider the Application of Verizon Wireless concerning property located at 70 County Road 116, designated on the Town of Cochecton Tax Map as Section 13 Block 1 Lot 19.7. The property is located in the ND (Neighborhood Development District) and is owned by the Lake Huntington Fire Company, Inc.
The applicant is appealing the May 17,2024 decision of the zoning enforcement officer denying a permit to Verizon Lake Huntington Personal Wireless Service Facility since the a Communication Tower is not a permitted or special permit use pursuant to Town of Cochecton Zoning Code Section 240-38 (B)(8), the Applicant contends that the since the proposed Communications Tower is not the sole use of the property it should be heard as a special permit use pursuant to Zoning Code Section 240-38 (B)(9). If the interpretation is not granted the Applicant is seeking a use variance.
If the interpretation requested or the use variances is granted The Applicant is seeking area variances from the setback requirements regarding the location of the proposed Communications Tower seeking to reduce the front yard from the required 150’ to 103’ and the rear yard setback from 150’ to 105’
Public Comments will be entertained at the meeting. The Town of Cochecton will make every effort to assure that the hearing is accessible to persons with disabilities. Anyone requiring special assistance and/or reasonable accommodation should contact the Town Clerk.

Location: Depart from Skinners Falls
Event Date: Sunday July 21, 2024 at 10am.
***Sign up date: Monday, July 8th, 2024 from 7:00-7:30pm at lower level of the Cochecton Town Hall.
Sign ups for this event will close promptly at 7:30pm on 7/ 8/ 24 at the close of this sign up.

As always, no cost for all Cochecton Youth.
Age restrictions: All children must be at least five years old and 40 pounds to embark on the rafting excursion.
Rafting: Rafts accommodate six individuals. However, if one party has all adults, I would suggest fitting just five per raft, so the experience is more comforting and offers more room for those who would like to bring up to a medium-sized cooler. Glass bottles are not allowed on the river.
Please be sure to complete the liability waiver before the trip to prevent any delays

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
For approval of a Cable Television Agreement between Spectrum Northeast, LLC and the Town of Cochecton.
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town of Cochecton will hold a Public Hearing on June 26th, 2024, at 6:30PM at the Cochecton Town Hall located at 74 Smales Road Cochecton, NY 12726 regarding granting a cable television franchise agreement by and between the Town of Cochecton and Spectrum Northeast, LLC, an indirect subsidiary of Charter Communications.
A copy of the agreement is available for public inspection during normal business hours at the Town Clerk’s office at 74 Smales Rd. Cochecton, New York. At such public hearing , all persons will be given an opportunity to be heard. Written and oral statements will be taken at that time. Time limitations may be imposed for each oral statement, if necessary.
