NOTICE TO BIDDERS
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Cochecton, Sullivan
County, NY will receive sealed bids for supplying the Town with No. 2 fuel oil, diesel
fuel and regular gasoline, from August 31, 2026, through July 31, 2027, delivered on 48
hours’ notice. Please use OPIS for Day of July 28th ,2026, for bids.
Bids will be accepted at the Office of the Town Clerk during regular business hours
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:00am – 2:00pm at 74 Smales Road, Lake Huntington, NY 12752; until 2:00pm on August 11th , 2026, or they may be sent to P.O Box 295, Lake Huntington, NY 12752 and they will be publicly opened and read aloud at 7:30pm on August 12th, 2026 at the regular Town Board Meeting..
Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to , Town of Cochecton, Town
Clerk Fuel Bid, PO Box 295, Lake Huntington, NY 12752 and must bear on the face
thereof the name and address of the bidder.
No bid may be withdrawn within 30 days from the date of the bid opening.
The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder on August 12th, 2026. In
the case two or more responsible bidders submit identical bids as to price the Town
Board may award the contract to any such bidder.
The right is reserved to reject any and all bids.
The attention of the bidders is particularly called to the non-collusive bid certification,
which must be provided, pursuant to Sec. 103-D of the General Municipal Law and that
section of Sec. 103-A of the General Municipal Law, is hereby considered to be part of
any contract to purchase which may be entered into.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE ASSESSOR OF THE TOWN OF COCHECTON, County of Sullivan has completed the Tentative Assessment Roll for the current year, which will be filed on or before May 1, 2026. A copy will be available with the Town Clerk in the Town Hall 74 Smales Rd Lake Huntington NY, where, by appointment, may be seen and examined by any interested person until the fourth Tuesday of May. The assessor will be in attendance with the Tentative Assessment Roll on May 1st and May 15th 10:00-1:00 and on; Wednesday, May 20th between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm and Saturday, May 23rd between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm by appointment only.
THE BOARD OF ASSESSMENT REVIEW WILL MEET on Tuesday, May 26th, 2026, between the hours of 4:00-8:000 pm at the Cochecton Town Hall, in said town, to hear and examine all complaints in relation to assessments, on the written application by any person believing himself to be aggrieved. 2026 Town Clean-up Weekend
Town of Cochecton residents: May 16th and 17th 2026, from 9 AM – 2:45 PM. Items may be brought to the Old Town Hall, CR 116, Lake Huntington, NY.
Acceptable items include Household junk, Bulky waste (furniture, mattresses, carpets, etc.); Iron pipes must be cut to 4-foot lengths; Drums and tanks must be empty and cut open or crushed.; Paint or tar cans must be empty and dry; NO full or partially full cans of paint, NO commercial dumping. NO household garbage, NO yard waste, leaves, stumps, roots, or rocks. NO HAZARDOUS WASTES: petroleum products, pesticides, or propane tanks. NO Computers/monitors, Television sets (all display types). NO Fluorescent Bulbs/Lamps. The Town of Cochecton will be accepting 4 regular car and truck tires at no cost, cost will be $3.00 per tire after the 4th tire. No oversized tires are allowed.
This program is made possible by the Sullivan County Legislature along with the Division of Public Works and Solid Waste and the Town of Cochecton.
