DISTRICT FISH STOCKING PROGRAM
The Sullivan County Soil & Water Conservation District is having a fall Fish
Stocking Program. We have linked up with a new supplier and are able to offer a
wider variety of fish. If you are interested in stocking your pond with bass, trout,
sunfish, channel catfish, minnows or grass carp, call the Sullivan County Soil &Water
Conservation District at (845) 292-6552 and request an order form to be mailed to you, or
go online at sullivanswcd.org. The District will be accepting orders until Monday,
September 15 th , with a pick up date of Saturday, September 30th  at 10 am.

Cochecton Youth- Yankee Game

Cochecton Youth, please join the CYC for a Yankee Game on Sunday, August 20th as the NY Yankees take on the Red Sox. (1:05 start time)

This event is free to Cochecton Youth. Parents / guardians will pay $150 per person the evening of sign ups. (Cash only / exact change only please.) If we do not have enough participants to make a “group” the cost per ticket may change. The group coordinators will inform any family that signed up if this occurs prior to purchasing the tickets.

If you would like to sign up for this event please come to the Cochecton Town Hall on 8/16 from 7:15-7:45 pm. Please text Michelle at 570 419 8801 or Sue at 845 866 0853 if you have any questions about this event. If you can not make it to sign ups please reach out to Sue or Michelle by noon on 8/16 to make arrangements for paperwork and payment.

Join the Cochecton Youth Commission for a day out at the Wayne County Fair in Honesdale, Pennsylvania on August 9th at 2pm or 5pm.
This event is free to Cochecton Youth. Adults and out of town guests will pay at the gate.

Town of Cochecton Planning Board
Please take notice that the Town of Cochecton Planning Board, Sullivan County, New York State
will hold a public hearing at 7:30 p.m. on August 31, 2023, at the Town Hall located at 74 Smalls
Road, Lake Huntington, New York for the purpose of considering the Forsterdale 4-Corners
Plaza site plan submitted by owners Joe Picone Jr. and Joe Picone III. The property is identified
by tax map number 3.-3-9.1 located at the corner of Route 17B and Route 52. The project
consists of (3) buildings constructed of an upper level, a lower level and a gas station. There will
be two parking lots and multiple driveways.
Please be advised that the project’s Application and Site Plan will be on file for review at the
Town Hall located at 74 Smales Road, Lake Huntington, N.Y. 12752.
Interested parties are invited to attend and to give their comments.

Costas Fun Park Trip- Must sign up by Tuesday July 18th, 2023
Join the CYC, on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 11:00 AM (with a rain date of Friday, July 28th at 12:30 PM) at Costa’s Family Fun Park (near Hawley, PA) for a fun day! (If you sign up for this event please be sure you are available on the rain date as well.) Activities at Costa’s include: go karts, laser tag, mini golf, bumper boats, a driving range, virtual reality mini games, and a fun children’s play land. There are also two fun waterslides for children who can swim independently and are at least 42” tall.
Wayne County Fair-
Join the Cochecton Youth Commission for a night out at the Wayne County Fair in Honesdale, Pennsylvania on August 4th at 5pm. This event is free to Cochecton Youth. Sign ups for the fair will be on July 18th from 5:30-6:00 pm. (If you cannot make it to sign up for this event, please contact Michelle 24 hours prior to sign ups.)
(There will also be sign ups for this event at our Cochecton Youth Yard Sale on Saturday, July 29th from 10-2pm.)

Paint Night-
Join the CYC, on Friday, August 18, 2023, from 6:30 – 7:30 pm for a night of art and learning about the ecosystem of Lake Huntington, NY.
In this project, children will learn how to draw different elements of the lake we will talk about the importance of each animal and mini ecosystem and how it contributes to the overall health of Lake Huntington. We will discuss ways we can help the lake become healthier as it currently falls into the impaired category.
Our Cochecton Youth will leave with a 9″x12″ completed piece of art, a watercolor cake set, a salt shaker, and a marker to do additional projects at home.
This free event is for Cochecton Youth only.
Football Game-
Join the Cochecton Youth Commission for an NFL game (Giants Vs Jets) on October 29th @ MetLife Stadium. This event is free to Cochecton Youth. Sign ups for this event will be on July 18 from 5:30-6:00pm at the lower level of the Cochecton Town Hall. If you plan to sign up for this event please contact Sue via text 24 hours prior to sign ups for specific details.
