Join the Cochecton Youth Commission to a Baseball Game to watch the Binghamton Mets – Rumble Ponies on Sunday, July, 19th, 2026 – 1pm.
Game starts promptly at 1pm so please be on time. Before the game, youth will have the opportunity to run the bases from 12-12:30pm, and play catch so bring your baseball glove. Sunday is also family fun day, every youth 12 and under will receive a free hot dog & soda voucher. Other fun activities will be going on at the stadium before the game.
Transportation will not be provided you will be responsible for getting to the Binghamton Rumble Ponies Stadium.
Game is Rain or Shine.
All Cochecton youth are Free. Out of town adults and children are allowed to attend.
If we have 20 or more tickets sold we will get the group rate of $11.00, per ticket.
If we don’t get 20 tickets sold- Price per Adult ticket and out of town children will be $19.00 per ticket.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE ASSESSOR OF THE TOWN OF COCHECTON, County of Sullivan has completed the Tentative Assessment Roll for the current year, which will be filed on or before May 1, 2026.  A copy will be available with the Town Clerk in the Town Hall 74 Smales Rd Lake Huntington NY, where, by appointment, may be seen and examined by any interested person until the fourth Tuesday of May. And will be available online at www.townofcochectonny.org and https://www.sullivanny.gov/Departments/RealProperty/AssessmentRolls

 

The assessor will be in attendance with the Tentative Assessment Roll on May 1st and May 15th 10:00-1:00 and on; Wednesday, May 20th between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm and Saturday, May 23rd between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm by appointment only.

 

THE BOARD OF ASSESSMENT REVIEW WILL MEET on Tuesday, May 26th, 2026, between the hours of 4:00-8:000 pm at the Cochecton Town Hall, in said town, to hear and examine all complaints in relation to assessments, on the written application by any person believing himself to be aggrieved.  A publication containing procedures for contesting an assessment is available at the assessor’s office or online @ www.tax.ny.gov

2026 Town Clean-up Weekend

Town of Cochecton residents: May 16th and 17th 2026, from 9 AM – 2:45 PM.  Items may be brought to the Old Town Hall, CR 116, Lake Huntington, NY.

Acceptable items include Household junk, Bulky waste (furniture, mattresses, carpets, etc.); Iron pipes must be cut to 4-foot lengths; Drums and tanks must be empty and cut open or crushed.; Paint or tar cans must be empty and dry; NO full or partially full cans of paint, NO commercial dumping.  NO household garbage, NO yard waste, leaves, stumps, roots, or rocks. NO HAZARDOUS WASTES: petroleum products, pesticides, or propane tanks.  NO Computers/monitors, Television sets (all display types).  NO Fluorescent Bulbs/Lamps.  The Town of Cochecton will be accepting 4 regular car and truck tires at no cost, cost will be $3.00 per tire after the 4th tire. No oversized tires are allowed.

This program is made possible by the Sullivan County Legislature along with the Division of Public Works and Solid Waste and the Town of Cochecton.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Cochecton, at its regular meeting
held on March 11, 2026, adopted a resolution approving a land lease agreement between the
Town of Cochecton (Lessor) and Cellco Partnership d/b/a Verizon Wireless (Lessee).The purpose
and effect of said land lease agreement is for the Lessee to install and operate a cell tower on a
six-acre parcel of land owned by the Town of Cochecton located on Nearing Road in the Town of
Cochecton (Tax Map No. 9-3-25.3)
The resolution was adopted subject to a permissive referendum.

Pottery Painting Studio in Honesdale, PA

The CYC is hosting a trip to Creative Corner Pottery Painting Studio in Honesdale, PA on Saturday, April 18th, 2026 with a snow date of April 19th.
Join us at 1:00 pm at the studio to paint a fun animal ceramic (appropriate for the younger kids) or dinnerware (appropriate for the older kids)!
Other items will be available for adults to paint if they are interested (fees apply).
Sign ups close at 7:30 on March 25th. Finished ceramic pieces will need to be picked up on May 5th between 6:45pm and 7pm at the town hall. Space at the event may be limited so sign up as soon as possible to confirm your spot.

That the Town Board of the Town of Cochecton, Sullivan County, NY will receive sealed bids for stone;  crusher run, red crusher run # 2’s, 3’s, 4’s, surge stone, PA # 8 or (equivalent) PA # 6 or (equivalent) and anti-skid.   All pricing shall be in US Tons F.O.B. including pick up at the plant, delivery and trucked to Town of Cochecton Highway Garage and delivery and trucked to various sites on Town of Cochecton Roads as directed by the Highway Superintendent.  Bids will be accepted at the Office of the Town Clerk during regular business hours Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9:00 am – 2:00 pm at 74 Smales Road, Lake Huntington, NY  12752; until 2:00 p.m. on March 10th 2026, or they may be sent to P.O. Box 295, Lake Huntington, NY  12752  – phone 845/932-8360 ext 11 and they will be publicly opened and read aloud at 7:30 p.m. on the 09th day of July 2025 at the regular Town Board Meeting.  Bids must bear on the face there of the name and address of the bidder.  All bids shall be from March 11, 2026, to February 28th, 2027.  No bid may be withdrawn within 30 days from the date of the bid opening.  The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder at 7:30 p.m. on the 11th day of March 2026 at the regular Town Board Meeting.  In the case two or more responsible bidders submit identical bids as to price the Town Board may award the contract to any such bidder.  The right is reserved to reject any, and all bids.  The attention of the bidders is particularly called to the non-collusive bid certification which must be provided, pursuant to Sec. 103-D of the General Municipal Law and to the hours and wages and supplements of Sec. 220 et seq. of the Labor Law and that section 103-A of the General Municipal Law and Section 220 et seq. of the Labor Law are hereby considered to be part of any contract to purchase which may be entered into.  For more information, please contact Highway Superintendent, Jeffrey Daub (845) 932-8737.  BY ORDER OF THE TOWN BOARD OF COCHECTON ; Dated 02/11/2026
