Join the CYC, on Friday, May 19, 2023, from 6:30 – 7:30 pm for a night of making art and learning about the ecosystem of Lake Huntington.

In this project, children will learn how to draw different elements of the lake we will talk about the importance of each animal and mini ecosystem and how it contributes to the overall health of Lake Huntington. We will discuss ways we can help the lake become healthier as it currently falls into the impaired category.

Our Cochecton Youth will leave with a 9″x12″ completed artwork, a watercolor cake set, a salt shaker, and a marker to do additional projects at home.

****Sign-ups for this event will take place on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, from 5:30-6:00 pm at the lower level of the Cochecton town hall. (This event is for Cochecton Youth only.) If you have any questions about this event, please contact Catherine at 347-782-1098.

Spring Cleanup

TOWN OF COCHECTON

2023 Spring Clean-up

Town of Cochecton residents: May 20 and 21, 2023, from 9 AM – 2:45 PM. Items may be brought to the Cochecton Town Hall, CR 116, Lake Huntington, NY. Acceptable items include Household junk, Bulky waste (furniture, mattresses, carpets, etc.); Iron pipes must be cut to 4-foot lengths; Drums and tanks must be empty and cut open or crushed.; Paint or tar cans must be empty and dry; NO full or partially full cans of paint, NO commercial dumping. NO household garbage, NO yard waste, leaves, stumps, roots, or rocks.

NO HAZARDOUS WASTES: petroleum products, pesticides, or propane tanks. NO Computers/monitors, Television sets (all display types). NO Fluorescent Bulbs/Lamps. The Town of Cochecton will be accepting 4 tires per household, regular car and truck tires at no cost, cost will be $3.00 per tire after the 4th tire. No oversized tires are allowed. This program is made possible by the Sullivan County Legislature along with the Division of Public Works and Solid Waste and the Town of Cochecton

Super Motor Cross Event on Saturday, April 22, 2023

Join the CYC for The Super Motor Cross Event on Saturday, April 22, 2023. This event starts at 6:30 pm at MetLife Stadium.
The price per ticket varies per adult. As always free to Cochecton youth.
Signs ups for this event will be on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at lower level town hall from 5:30-6pm. Please contact Sue via text by April 15th for more details about this actual event and adult cost if you are interested in signing up. All money and forms must be to the CYC by 6pm on 4/18.)

Youth Event Movie 4/14/23

Join the CYC on Friday, April 14th 2023, to see the movie Super Mario Bros at the Callicoon Theater.
The movie starts at 7:30pm.

***We will meet at 7pm Friday night in front of movie theater bring sign up form to movies and/or sign up forms will be available that night.
Each Cochecton Youth will receive a small soda, small popcorn, and box of candy.
All adults and out of town guests will pay at the door.
