PLEASE TAKE NOTICE
That the Town Board of the Town of Cochecton, Sullivan County, NY will receive sealed
bids for stone; crusher run, red crusher run # 2’s, # 3’s, # 4’s, surge stone, PA # 8 or
(equivalent) PA # 6 or (equivalent) and anti-skid. All pricing shall be in US Tons F.O.B.
including pick up at the plant, delivery and trucked to Town of Cochecton Highway
Garage and delivery and trucked to various sites on Town of Cochecton Roads as
directed by the Highway Superintendent. Bids will be accepted at the Office of the Town
Clerk during regular business hours Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 10:00 am –
2:00 pm at 74 Smales Road, Lake Huntington, NY 12752; until 2:00 p.m. on April 11th,
2023, or they may be sent to P.O. Box 295, Lake Huntington, NY 12752 – phone
845/932-8360 ext 11 and they will be publicly opened and read aloud at 7:30 p.m. on the
12th day of April 2023 at the regular Town Board Meeting. Bids must bear on the face
thereof the name and address of the bidder. All bids shall be from June 1, 2023, to May
31, 2024. No bid may be withdrawn within 30 days from the date of the bid opening.
The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder at 7:30 p.m. on 10 th day of
May 2023 at the regular Town Board Meeting. In the case two or more responsible
bidders submit identical bids as to price the Town Board may award the contract to any
such bidder. The right is reserved to reject any and all bids. The attention of the bidders
is particularly called to the non-collusive bid certification which must be provided,
pursuant to Sec. 103-D of the General Municipal Law and to the hours and wages and
supplements of Sec. 220 et seq. of the Labor Law and that section 103-A of the General
Municipal Law and Section 220 et seq. of the Labor Law are hereby considered to be part

Kartrite Indoor Water Park
Join the CYC for a day of slides and splashing at the Kartrite Indoor Waterpark.
Join us on Saturday, April 22nd at 11am for lots of swimming, sliding and splashing!
As always this event is free to Town of Cochecton Youth! With their lazy river, water slides and splash area for the little ones there is something for everyone!!
Lunch will be provided for Cochecton Youth.
Duration of outing: 11am – 7pm
Sign-ups will he held on March 14th from 5:30-6:00pm at the Cochecton Town Hall. Any questions please call April at 845-701-2530
Cost for adults is $50 per person and must be paid at the time of sign ups. Please bring exact change.

Liberty Heights
Join the CYC for another fun filled afternoon at Liberty Heights Trampoline and Adventure Park!!
Join us on Sunday, March 19th at 2:00pm for lots of jumping, sliding and playing!
As always this event is free to Town of Cochecton Youth! With their lava launch slides, trampolines, laser tag, virtual reality, arcade, and more, there is something for everyone!!
Duration of outing: 2:00-3:30 pm

Bunny Train Ride
Join the CYC on a train ride with the Easter Bunny!!
Join us on Saturday, April 2nd at 1pm for the
Easter Bunny Train Ride in Honesdale, PA.
As always this event is free to Town of Cochecton Youth!
Out of town families are welcome to join us for a cost of $20.00 (ages 3-12), ages 13 and above are $25.00. Please have exact cash at sign ups.
Duration of trip: 2 Hour train ride

VIP Kids Club
Join the CYC at Vip Kids Club in Honesdale, PA!
Join us on Saturday, April 29th in the morning for an art and play party! Children will be creating a work of art with the help of the Vip Kidz instructor. Then the children will get to utilize their awesome play space.

Town of Cochecton Planning Board
Please take notice that the Town of Cochecton Planning Board, Sullivan County, New York
State will hold a public hearing at 7:30 p.m. on March 30, 2023 at the Town Hall located at 74
Smales Road, Lake Huntington, New York for the purpose of considering the Gabriele
Subdivision submitted by owner Jeffrey Gabriele. The said property is identified by tax map
number 10.-2-44 located at 6624 State Route 52 (Crestwood Road), Lake Huntington, New York
The project consists of dividing the present property into two parcels. Interested parties are
invited to attend and to give their comments.

Monster Jam May 6th

Join the CYC for Monster Jam on
Saturday, May 6th, 2023. This event starts at 1pm at the Mohegan Sun Arena, in Wilkes Barre PA.
The price per ticket is $34.50 per adult. Please bring exact cash to sign ups, sorry no checks or Venmo. As always free to Cochecton youth.
Signs ups for this event will be on Tuesday, February 7th, 2023 at lower level town hall from 5:30-6pm. Please contact Krissy no less than 24 hours prior to sign ups if you cannot attend this sign up. (There will be only one sign up for this event and all money and forms must be to Krissy by 6pm on 2/7.)
There is a parking charge at the arena which is only payable via credit or debit card. (Each family is responsible for this payment.)

Senior Citizens tax exemption

Important Notice

You may be eligible for the RP467 Senior Citizens tax exemption. Seniors have until
March 1, 2023 to apply.
If this is your primary residence, and one or both owners are 65 years or older, prior to
March 1 2023, and your combined gross income does not exceed $28,900; you may be entitled
to the partial tax exemption.
The application form is available at the Assessors office or online at our website and
also on the Department of Tax and Finance website at www.tax.ny.gov. You will need to
download, complete and file this form (RP-467) with the Assessor on or before March 1 st 2023.
Also, if this is your primary residence and one or both owners are 65 or older and is
already receiving the Basic STAR exemption on your school tax bill and your combined adjusted
gross income minus taxable IRA distributions is $93,200 or less, you may be eligible for the
Enhanced STAR exemption or credit.

with questions regarding these exemptions.

PUBLIC HEARING

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Cochecton, Sullivan County, New York will hold a Public Hearing at the Town Hall, 74 Smales Road, Lake Huntington, Sullivan County, New York, on the 8th day of February 2023 at 7:00 p.m. for the purpose of eliciting public comment regarding the updated Comprehensive Plan. A comprehensive plan sets forth a vision and goals for the Town’s  future and provides the overall foundation for all land use regulation in the Town. Copies of the proposed Comprehensive Plan can  be viewed at the Town Clerk’s Office during regular business hours.

Join the CYC on Friday, March 24th from 6:00-7:00pm for a sensory filled night of play dough fun! Each child will receive one themed playdough kit filled with several colors of playdough and thematic manipulatives. Children must be present to receive their kit. (This is not an event where items are just picked up like we did in the past due to COVID). After playing with the kit and socializing with other CYC members, your child will get to take it home for further playdough fun!
