County, NY will hold its Reorganizational meeting on January 2, 2025, at 7:00 P.M. at
the Cochecton Town Hall, located at 74 Smales Road, Lake Huntington, NY.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Town Board of the Town of Cochecton, Sullivan
County, NY will hold all Regular Monthly Meetings at the Town Hall located at 74
Smales Road, Lake Huntington, NY. at 7:30 PM. A work session will be held between
7:00 PM and 7:30 PM. All meetings will be held the second Wednesday of each month.
Notice of special meetings and public hearings will be posted at the Town Hall and Town
website

West Point Hockey Game- February 8th, 2025.

***Sign ups are tonight 12/16/24- from 6:00-6:30pm.
Upcoming Event: West Point Hockey Game- February 8th, 2025.
The Cochecton Youth Commission will be attending a West Point hockey game on February 8, 2025 at 4 PM! (Army vs. Sacred Heart) Sign-ups will be held on Monday, December 16th from 6:00 PM to 6:30PM at the Cochecton Town Hall. (Seating is limited. If you’d like your seat secured ahead please contact Sue Rodriguez via text at 845-866-0853. I will get together with you prior to collecting paperwork etc.) Adult cost is $30 at this time… price may change as event get closer. Please bring exact cash to sign-ups.
If you cannot attend sign-ups for this event, please reach out to the group coordinator at least 24 hours in advance to fill out the necessary paperwork / submit payment if needed.

This event is for Cochecton youth only and sign-ups will close on Monday, December 16 at 6:30pm.
As always free to Cochecton youth.

WINTER ROAD CLOSURE

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the following town roads in the Town of Cochecton will have no maintenance from December 2024 to April 1, 2025.  During that time there will be no Town services performed on these roads.  The closing of the roads will take effect on the date indicated or when signs are placed, signs will be removed on April 1, 2025.
HAASE ROAD – from Stony Road to R. Haase’s driveway
STONY ROAD – from Rauch Road to Old County Road
MILL ROAD – after Shawn Nearing driveway to H. Twyman’s driveway

COCHECTON FIRE DISTRICT
NOTICE OF ANNUAL ELECTION

On Tuesday, December 10, 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual Election of the Cochecton Fire District will take place
on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the Lake Huntington
Fire House located at 70 County Route 116, Lake Huntington, NY for the purpose of electing one (1)
Commissioner, for a five (5) year term, commencing January 1, 2025 and ending December 31, 2029.
All residents of the Cochecton Fire District, who have resided in the district for a period of thirty days
prior to the election shall be eligible to vote.

Candidates for this office are required to file their names with the district secretary at least twenty days
before the date of the election. Please hand deliver to the firehouse or mail a letter of intent to James
Farrell, Secretary of the Board, Cochecton Fire District, PO Box 222, Lake Huntington, NY 12752, no
later than November 20, 2024.

The Cochecton Youth Commission will be attending a West Point hockey game on January 18 at 4 PM! (Army vs. Air Force)
Sign-ups will be held on November 13th from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Cochecton Town Hall.

FURTHER NOTICE is hereby given that the Town Board of said Town of Cochecton will meet and review said Preliminary Budget and hold a Public Hearing at the Cochecton Town Hall, 74 Smales Road, Lake Huntington, NY at 6:30 PM on November 7, 2024 and at such hearing those in favor of or against any item therein contained will be heard.
